Here's a link to yesterday's interview with Jennifer Dotson of Highland Park Poetry about my debut book of poetry, Esemplastic--Many and One, winner of the Prairie State Poetry Prize and published by Highland Park Poetry Press.
A few minutes before leaving my car to go into the interview, a little dragonfly paid me a visit, hovering in front of my windshield for a bit as I hummed along to the bossa nova cover band playing in the background. I have always been grateful for dragonflies and their capacity to carry messages, so much so that one such messenger dragonfly is featured prominently in the epic fantasy I'm writing, but I digress. This iridescent insect helped me clear my head, and I am grateful for the moment I got to spend with it.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I hope my conversation with Jennifer gives you a sense of who I am and a reason to connect with me and my poetry.
